Tell me, my Master…

Tell me, my Master, what would you do if you didn’t take care of us?

– Well… I would run in the mountains or go for a walk…

You’re joking, my Master! Do you think that I, Frimousse, don’t know that you can no longer run or walk in the mountains?

– I would go to the restaurant, I would watch television…

You’re kidding, my Master! I, Frimousse, know that you hate going to restaurants, that you hate watching television!

– I would write a book for children. It would be the story of three cats taking care of me.

And what would those three cats be like?

– You are joking, Frimousse! I, your Master, know perfectly that you have already guessed…

But since you are taking care of us, you will not write this story and children won’t be able to read it. So there!

Banania

When the Mistress of Frimousse goes to work, or when the Master of Rouxy or I go, each on our side, to buy food for a few days, we pass a house where «lives» a very beautiful red cat.

Frimousse spoke about it in this article

It’s customary to say “I’ve seen the red cat”, or to ask “have you seen the red cat lately?” And we hadn’t seen him since October or September! Yesterday Saturday, in front of the house a car was parked with a gentleman standing next to it. I stopped and asked him if he was the occupant of the house. He said yes, and I told him that we had not seen the red cat for a very long time. Before I even explained our interest in the red cat, he said “he is here!”. He called his daughter who opened the window upstairs and told her to bring… Banania (*). And she came back with a very large ball of red hair in her arms. “Beautiful!” I said. “And very kind!” said his Master. I was so happy to see him that I forgot to take a picture! Isn’t it essential that he be alive and in good health?

(*) Banania is a popular chocolate drink found most widely distributed in France. It is made from cocoa, banana flour, cereals, honey and sugar. There are two types of Banania available in French supermarkets: ‘traditional’ which must be cooked with milk for 10 minutes, and ‘instant’ which can be prepared in similar fashion to Nesquik.
