Snow

On Wednesday November 9th 2016 first snow fall here. And Frimousse and RouXy spent quite some time by the stove.

The day before yesterday, i.e. Sunday November 12th, some snow settled on the grass but it didn’t stick on the lane. And this Tuesday morning neither Frimousse nor RouXy by the stove. What’s the use of lighting the fire?

You miss your furs it is plain to see. Are you sure another would not be nice to have. Maybe one who is not a kitten but needs a new loving home. It would make Frimousse happy in heaven I am sure

Well, thank you for your message.
Frimousse’s Mistress and I have lived thinking of Frimousse and RouXy – and Tigri when he was alive – for fifteen years. I am old and I wouldn’t mind to have to stay home to look after a cat. But Frimousse’s Mistress says that now we must do what we haven’t been able to do because of the cats, that is… traveling. Therefore, no other cat.

I know what you mean – I am old too and just as happy to stay home with my cats. But I have traveled and don’t mind giving that up. I hope your new boiler works out well . But even with a warm house, there is something comforting about a cat nearby.

Well, no cats around our place. Therefore I feed the sparrows and the tits without putting them in danger.
As I am at home, I deal with the heating. It is a condensing boiler. But it works with fuel oil. We would have preferred to install a boiler working with wood pellets but it would have been more than twice the expense. So I try to heat the house in the most economical way. I light the stove one hour before Frimousse’s Mistress comes back from work. In the morning and at lunch-time we do without the stove, radiators are enough.
Cold and grey this morning but they forecast bright sunshine later in the day.
Have a nice day, when you wake!
