Invisible fence and PetSafe are the same. But I am not sure they are from the same company.
Yes, there’s a wire supposed to be buried underground. In our garden it is not buried actually but protected in a sheath laid on the ground at the limits of the garden.
Normally designed for dogs, it works quite well with cats on the condition of giving time to the cat to get accustomed to the device. That is one hasyou have to keep a close watch at the cat for about a couple of weeks.
Yes, when I had the dog fence installed they told me you could train a cat. They send someone out to help you train your dogs but don’t make the same offer with a cat. So glad it kept Frimousse safe !
It is nice to allow your friend to be in his garden and safe at the same time. We are moving and hope to have one of the fences with the arms that reach inside to prevent climbing. With 7 it is easier. It looks like it worked well
This must work like the Invisible Fence I had installed for the dogs. Is there a wire buried underground ?

A cat is less easy to train. That’s obvious. but possible though e.g. Frimousse, Tigri.

I hope it’ll be all right.
Look at Angel Frimousse’s tail, sticking straight out! He was involved in something that had his attention!
First time outside. Maybe a spider, or an ant, or a bee, or a wasp in the crocuses….
Frimousse looks very curious!
Before that day he was not allowed outside except with a lead and a harness (!). Now he can feed his curiosity!
